Diamonds, Rabbits, and Stars

by Gil Maker, Don Menges, and George Wallace

Current Show Runs Through Sunday, October 30

Our current exhibit is Diamonds, Rabbits, & Stars by Gil Maker, Don Menges, and George Wallace. Diamonds are a study by Gil Maker of abandoned baseball fields that causes many of us to wonder about the fate of the ball fields of our youth. Rabbits, by Don Menges, is a series of photographs at Seabreeze Amusement Park with evident joy by those having "more smiles per hour" at one of Rochester's favorite destinations. Stars, by George Wallace gives us an opportunity to gaze at his series of night photographs.

Also in the exhibit are Guest Photographers, Cheryl Camelio, Jeff Palm, Thomas McGlynn, and Steve Tryon as well as six photographs by Camera Rochester winners from their club competition: Ron Gouger, Jerome Kaye, Sheila Nelson, Gail Rivera, Lois Trieb, and Naushad UzZaman.

In our East Gallery we have an exhibit by "4 Walls Project, Nicaragua." The photographs in this exhibit give us an appreciation of the people and the beauty of Nicaragua as well as the efforts of the volunteer organization to help change the lives of families in the rural town of El Sauce, Nicaragua by improving the domiciles of the residents. Click Here for more information on this dedicated organization and its efforts.

We round out the show with photography exhibits by Artists-in-Residence, Jim Patton, and David Perlman and Gallery Partners Dick Bennett, Carl Crumley, Steve Levinson, Dan Neuberger, Betsy Phillips, Gary Thompson, Phyllis Thompson, and Sheridan Vincent.

For full details of the show click hereBe sure to check out the link to the "Preview of the Show Gallery" to see a selection of the fine works in the show.
